Man Gets Run Over By His Own Car Because Of A Cigarette
Every smoker has heard this multiple times: Smoking causes cancer, smoking kills. People just chose to ignore it. Here's a classic example to say smoking is injurious to health!
An unidentified man from Colorado, USA, suffered life threatening injuries to his head after he was run over by his own vehicle.
So now for those who are wondering, what does this have to do with smoking?
Well, the man was sitting in his van, smoking, when he dropped the lit cigarette down the front of his jacket. He then immediately jumped out to avoid getting burnt. He then tripped, fell down and his head ended up under the front driver's side tyre, which went over.
The incident happened around 6:30 a.m., while the man was backing out his vehicle on a driveway.
The person was immediately rushed to a local hospital and is said to be in a critical condition. The police say there are chances for him to survive.
A relative of the injured man, who was sitting in the front passenger seat of the van, was unhurt. The police are not going to file any charges because there is no hint of alcohol suspected.
This is a very good example of how things can distract a driver and where such incidents could lead.
