Lamborghini Crashed In New Delhi By Hotel Valet

What happened last week at the Le Meridien in New Delhi then, was a downright disaster for one such Lamborghini owner. While details of the incident are rather sketchy, it seems like the valet bringing the car up front from the parking lot ended up losing control and crashed it head on into a concrete wall.

The car was severely damaged, especially in front, and the wall took a small beating too, but whoever is going to foot the repair bill can find a tiny bit of solace in the fact that this car is mid-engined, so the engine would not have been affected too much after this unfortunate incident. The car seems repairable in this state, but if the engine too had taken a beating, the car would surely have been written off.

Maybe the valet had a rush of blood amidst the excitement of piloting such an exclusive car and put his foot down a little too hard (as obvious by the extent of the damage), only to hear the most expensive crunch he would probably encounter for the rest of his life.

With over 500 horses to boot, these cars are super-responsive to throttle input, and possibly surged forward much faster than the valet expected, leaving him no time to brake in the short distance between the parking lot and the front of the hotel. He did sustain injuries though; we don't know if he was wearing a seatbelt at the time.

It looks like a major court case is going to ensue, since the hotel authorities are denying responsibility, and one would think the owner of the exotic car is certainly not going to shell out one bit of moolah too. We, like you, are eagerly waiting to see the CCTV footage of the crash, if ever it reaches the public. But the question remains, how do you train a valet to drive a Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder?
