Ken Block Teases A Race To The The Clouds In Manic Methanol Drinking Hoonicorn 2.0
Ken Block's manic methanol drinking Hoonicorn 2.0 has a rather insane target in mind, the Race To The Clouds.
Ken Block's Hoonicorn Ford Mustang RTR was a pretty special car with its massive naturally aspirated V8 engine, more power than it needed and four wheel drive.
However, in the crazy tyre smoking world that the man a certain James May called 'Kenny From The Block' occupies, the 833bhp V8 wasn't really insane enough.
Block came up with an idea of bolting two turbos onto the engine with the force feeding monsters sticking out of the hood. He handed the idea to his team and the result was something that has even Block scared.
The result is the methanol drinking twin-turbo Hoonicorn Version 2.0 that produces 1381bhp at the crank which should result in a lot more tyre smoke and destroyed tyres.
And Block has a rather ambitious target in mind for this fire spitting, smoke belching monster of a Mustang. He's taking it to the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb race next summer.
While we will have to wait for another 8 months, knowing block and his crazy minions and from what we can make out from the teaser above, it will be one hell of a smoky ride up the mountain.
