Indians Should Get A Shower Bus Soon
Doniece Sandoval runs a non-profit organization called LavaMae. She and her husband convert old buses into functional shower facilities for the poor and homeless people. She will be introducing an entire fleet of shower buses for the homeless people.
Her goal is not to eradicate poverty, however, she believes poor people should be accepted in society and having good hygiene should be easily provided. Their first project is with Gillig Phantom bus that was built back in 1992.
These buses will be multifunctional and will feature two shower areas, a toilet, sink and space to store their belongings temporarily. They bus can be parked anywhere and will use water from water hydrants.

We ask you if the Indian government should introduce these mobile buses here too. The budget has set aside a decent amount of money to improve sanitary issues and has promised there will be washrooms at regular intervals and by 2019, no one will be allowed to do their business outdoors.
The shower bus can do wonders for Mumbai local train travellers, where the extreme temperatures and little or no ventilation in the jam-packed trains gets individuals soaked in sweat. Imagine if you could just get down at the closest station to your office and bathe before you reach work.
We know the idea is actually being implemented for the homeless in developed countries. However, in India we still do not have adequate washrooms, and even where we do, the hygiene and cleanliness is not maintained. So let us know in the comments below, if you would like to see the shower bus out of railway stations.
