Hollywood's Hot Bikes Revealed
The Indian motorcycle fans in the early nineties could only dream to own bikes from brands such as Harley Davidson, Ducati, Kawasaki and many more. While the rich few could import some of these bikes from abroad many of us could only hope to ride then while looking at them in iconic Hollywood films.
Here are some famous Hollywood movies that impressed motorcycle fans across the world. Some of these films feature original bikes, while some have modified bikes. Motorcycles have become an integral part of several Hollywood films. Hollywood's love affair with bikes has resulted in some iconic films that have impressed bike lovers.
Matrix Reloaded
Matrix, the sci-fi cult classic has some exciting chase sequences. One of the best is the one featuring Carrie-Ann Moss as Trinity riding against the traffic on a black Ducati.
Closer to the Edge 3D
This is yet another documentary that has impressed motorcycle fans. Based on the Isle of Man Tourist Trophy, the greatest motorcycle road race in the world, it has some exhilarating and interesting moments. The film has real TT racers such as Guy Martin, Ian Hutchinson, John McGuinness, Michael Dunlop, Keith Amor and many more.
Dust to Glory
Dust To Glory is a 2005 Documentary that features the Baja 1000 off-road race. The event is a favourite for off-road racers. The event attracts participants every year to Mexico. The film features both off road bikes as well as as of-road cars.
Easy Rider
This film has gained fame among motorcycle fans mainly for its song 'Born To Be Wild'. Easy Rider was also the first counter culture film that portrayed the wild ways of motorcycle riders of the 1960s.The film used several Harley Davidson bikes from the 1950s. The film became a cult classic but none of the bikes used in the film survived. While one bike was badly damaged after a crash, the rest of them were stolen days before the end of the shooting.
Ghost Rider
Ghost Rider is yet another film that set the pulse of motorcycle lovers racing. The first film had a customized Harley Davidson while the second installment had a custom built Yamaha V-Max.
Mission-Impossible-2
The highlight of Tom Cruise starer Mission Impossible II was the protagonist and his adversary going at each other while riding bulky Triumph motorcycles.
Terminator 2 Judgement Day
Nobody can forget Arnold Schwarzenegger riding his Harley Davidson and firing away bullets in Terminator 2 Judgement Day. Arnold has been a long time fan of Harley Davidson bikes and has quite a few in his garage.
The Dark Knight Rises
Here is yet another fictional bike that had motorcycle fans drooling. This stunning bat bike used in the Batman trilogy packs a punch both with its powerful performance and strong weaponry.
The Worlds Fastest Indian
The World's Fastest Indian is a retelling of a true story where Burt Munro from New Zealand spends all his life savings in to building a 1920 Indian bike and attempting to break the world land speed record. Anthony Hopkins delivered a realistic performance which had fans falling in love with him yet again.

If you have a motorcycle designer in you, the Hollywood is the place to be. The futuristic Tron Legacy features an impressive looking motorcycle that has inspired several designs.
