Hennessey HPE1000 Twin Turbo Camaro ZL1 Quarter Mile Run

The mechanical geniuses at Hennessey have worked their magic on the 2014 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1, outfitting it with their now famous HPE1000 Twin Turbo HPE1000 Twin Turbo performance package.

The stock Camaro ZL1 is no slouch of course. Its supercharged, 6.2 -litre V8 engine provides a good 580 horsepower and 753 Nm of torque, capable of pushing the car to 100 km/h in 4 seconds.

But when has anyone complained against having more power. So, Hennessey replaces the supercharger with twin turbochargers besides making several mechanical and ECU updates. The final product, post its transformation to HPE1000 Twin Turbo ZL1 Camaro is a car that develops a massive 1,000 bhp at 6,400 rpm.

Hennessey performed their usual quarter mile (400 metre) run and the Camaro ZL1 on steroids covered the distance in 10.65 seconds, while doing 218 km/h.
