Gulf Oil Lubricants has announced that it will be teaming up with Manchester United. The oil company will be taking up the role as global sponsor as well as the official lubricant and fuel retail partner. It is an iconic moment for both the brands to be coming together.
The Manchester United football club and Gulf Oil International will be partners till the end of the 2019 football season. This is the single ever long-term partnership by an oil company and a football club. The primary focus of this tie-up is enhanced brand building for both brands.
The partnership between the two was confirmed at Aon Training Complex, Manchester United Official training ground. Frank Rutten, Vice President, Gulf Oil International and Jamie Reigle, Commercial Director, Manchester United were present at the signing. Also, present on the occasion were Manchester United Legends and the First team players.
Apart from football, Gulf Oil International has existing partnerships with the World Endurance Championship with the Gulf Racing team and Porsche. They also have tie-ups with World Superbikes and Milwaukee BMW. All partnerships are made to enhance branding for Gulf Oil.
