Ford GT Has Only One Function, To Win Le Mans
Several cars have new and cutting edge functions over their competitors. Today we ask you, have you heard of a supercar having just a sole feature? Could you guess what this one feature could be that beats every other.
Ford explains to us their GT supercar has one function and that is to win the Le Mans challenge. It is a bold statement by the American manufacturer and puts intense pressure on themselves according to us.
Raj Nair, Group Vice President and Chief Technical Officer, Global Product Development explain why the Ford GT has one function alone. He says they are focused on aerodynamics, suspensions, size of the cockpit and engine.
Ford has provided their GT Le Mans supercar with a 3.5-liter EcoBoost twin-turbo V6 engine. They recently took their most focussed supercar out on a test at Sebring, to prove its mettle.
