Rallying is the toughest form of motorsports. And here are the five insane on-board clips you will ever see.
Rallying, the toughest form of motorsports on the planet has its downside when it comes to spectating a rally. Due to complicated and lengthy stages, spectators can only get a glimpse of speeding rally cars.
But thanks to the onboard cameras, which gives us a breathtaking view from the cockpit with co-driver yelling the notes. So, here are the five insane onboard clips from the world of rallying, turn the volume up and enjoy!
"Oh, dear God."
Yes God was there with rally legend Ari Vatanen when he made this miraculous save. Driving an Opel Manta 400, Vatanen was hitting head-spinning speeds in his dancing rear-wheel-drive car in the narrow roads of Isle of Man. Vatanen clipped a wall and somehow managed to squeeze through a narrow gate. Moments later his co-driver Terry Harryman uttered, "Oh, dear God".
Audi Quattro S1 Crossing An Ocean Of People
Group B era saw the most powerful cars in the history of rallying. And the Audi Quattro S1 was a masterpiece. This video shows Walter Rohrl driving through a stage with thousands of people standing in the racing line.
This Driver Has Great Reflex
Again it's the Opel Manta on the list. Irish rally driver Bertie Fisher made an incredible save after the car lost control. Fisher somehow managed to guide his out of control Manta through spectators and parked cars.
If In Doubt, Flat Out
One of the greatest talent the sport has ever seen, Colin McRae was known for his flat out approach and crashes. But here is a breathtaking video from Rally GB. McRae dances from corner to corner on the slippery muddy road, with some insane opposite locks.
Flying Subaru In Ouninpohja
Rally Finland is known for its high-speed stages and big jumps. The cars fly on the stages and Ouninpohja is the fastest stage in WRC. In 2004 Petter Solberg set a record for the fastest time and here is the onboard clip of the flying Subaru.
