Ferrari Opens Second Theme Park — Reveals Blisteringly Quick Roller Coaster

The Ferrari Land in Spain features roller coasters, interactive adventures, and it is now home to Europe’s tallest and fastest roller coaster, called the Red Force.

The second Ferrari theme park has officially opened its doors to the public. Enzo's son and company vice-chairman Piero Ferrari hit the "starter button" instead of cutting a ribbon.

Called the Ferrari Land, it encompasses over 750,000 square feet of space within the PortAventura World Resort at Salou, located on Spain's Costa Daurada. The theme park features 11 attractions, with the star attraction being Red Force - the highest and fastest vertical accelerator in Europe.

The rollercoaster slingshots riders in F1-shaped cars from 0-180 km/h in 5 seconds before sending riders upward 367 feet.

The theme park is full of other Ferrari-themed activities such as Racing Legends, and Flying Dreams rides that fly people through the history of F1 and GT.

There is also the Ferrari Gallery, which is an interactive experience for visitors to experience and see Ferrari's history. Also, there are driving simulators, a pit stop experience, and there are classic Ferraris to behold.

Ferrari Land is the second theme park based on the famous Italian brand. The first being Ferrari World Abu Dhabi which opened in 2010 and has enjoyed considerable success.
