The Fast And The Furious Supra Heads To Auction
The Fast And The Furious movie is what kicked off a whole franchise, one after the other. The 7th part was recently launched.
Going back in time, does anyone remember the Supra that appeared in the first part? Well, that very stunt car that was used is headed for auction, during the second week of May.
This Supra, which featured in the final drag race, is expected to fetch USD 200,000 at the Indianapolis Mecum Auction, staged to take place from the 12th of May to the 17th.
Since the car was seen running in the movie, it retains its 3.0-litre 2JZ-GE inline-six cylinder engine that is mated to a manual 5-speed gearbox. The nitrous tanks are not connected and it retains the body kit and graphics.
The interior of the car has two racing seats, a roll cage and a fuel cell. The door panels are made of sheet metal and has very limited upholstery inside.
Although USD 200,000 may seem a lot for a car made in 1993, the car does have memories.
