Epic Battle: Volvo Iron Knight Vs S60 Polestar TC1 Teaser

Swedish manufacturer Volvo is preparing to take epicness to a whole new level with a thrilling battle between the Iron Knight and an S60 Polestar TC1. A promo video was uploaded by Volvo Trucks to YouTube.

The Iron Knight is a massive truck which holds two speed records in its segment. The manufacturer set the record with this modified truck in August. It is the quickest to accelerate on 500- and 1,000-metre long straights.

The Iron Knight completed the 500-metre mark in just 13.71 seconds with a top speed of 131.29 km/h while the 1000-metre run took 21.29 seconds and clocked a top speed of 169.09 km/h. For a truck which weighs 4.5 tonnes, it's an incredible achievement.

The engine is heavily modified by the marque which churns out 2,400bhp of power, even though it uses the same engine block of the standard version. And also, most of the i-Shift transmission parts remain the same.

The Volvo S60 Polestar TC1 is powered by a 400bhp four-cylinder engine and it weighs only 1.1 tons. Even though the car is very light compared to the truck, the Iron Knight wins the power-to-weight ratio.
