Fancy A Free Ride In A Supercar Taxi?
Dubai has been in the news for their obsession with supercars. The police bought them first, followed by the first respondent vehicle, then the civil defence and now, the taxi service!
The latest sensation, the supercars that operate as taxis, will offer free rides for tourists and residents.
The supercar taxi fleet has cars like Rolls Royce, Bentley, Ferrari, Lamborghini and even an AMG G Class Limo!
These cars will be the spotlight of the Dubai motor festival, that is scheduled to take place from the 19th of November till the 6th of december. They will operate during weekends.
These expensive vehicles that run as taxis will be deployed at places where the the amount of tourists are the highest like shopping malls and tourist attracting landmarks and will offer a free one way ride.
Jin Chwen Ong, the Director for Dubai Motor Festival said, "The Supercar Taxis will offer tourists and residents a dream experience like no other. The idea behind this was to celebrate people's passion for motoring."
"This is the first of its kind in the world and we want to engage the community. Gauging the response we get, we may extend the experience beyond the weekends it will be available."
Over the past year or so, Dubai was in the news for its police force having a few of the most exotic cars as official vehicles and then emerged news about the ambulance service getting exotic cars.
Dubai sure knows how to get the spotlight on it!
