Dubai Tests Out Driverless Bus Service — Smart City Or The Start Of Skynet?
Dubai is trying to become "The Smartest City In The World" and its latest initiative to achieve its goal has started drawing the attention the everyday Dubai citizen.
And just what exactly is this attention grabber? Read on to find out.
Dubai is testing out the EZ10 driverless bus on a 700-metre stretch from Mohammad Bin Rashid Boulevard/Financial Centre Street intersection to the Vida Downtown Dubai hotel.
The test started on September 1 and will keep on going for a month.
The EZ10 as its name suggest can carry 10 passengersinside thanks to the lack of a driver.
Also, the bus doesn't have a discernible front or rear end as it looks the same from either end.

Seems like a brilliant idea. Too bad it probably won't work in India, as stuffing people into buses seems to be the norm here.
