21-Year Old Drunk Driver Kills 2, Injures 1 - Accident Caught On Tape
Driving drunk and causing accidents are growing at an alarming rate in India. Many of the recent accidents are also being caught on cam, be it a security camera or on mobile phones.
The latest is the story of a 21-year old, who after attending a party and consuming enough alcohol, killed two and injured one when driving his father's Honda City back home. The horrific accident was caught on tape as well.
The driver, Rishab, was driving at 100km/h and managed to kill two people and injure one in a short stretch of 1.5km. Eyewitnesses saw Rishab hit 40-year old Kameshwar Prasad, a government employee who was on his morning walk.
Rishab later hit another 40-year old man named Santosh, who was cleaning cars in a residential area and went on to crash into 67-year-old Ashwani Anand, a property dealer. The youngster kept driving before he was stopped by police patrol team, who intercepted the Honda City.
Police found that Rishab was so drunk that he could not even stand straight, and they also found alcohol bottles inside the car. The Honda City was registered to Rashab's dad and the car has been seized by police.
Rishab has now been charged with culpable homicide not amounting to murder besides other charges of drunk driving under IPC and Motor Vehicle Act.
