Datsun Redi-Go Spied Testing Under heavy Camouflage In Chennai - Images
Datsun's Alto 800 rival — The Datsun Redi-Go — has been spotted testing under the cover of some heavy camo on the streets of Chennai.
The test mule looks to be production ready and takes quite a few styling cues from the Redi-Go concept seen at the 2014 Auto Expo in Delhi. These include the front grille, headlamps and the tail lamps.
The Redi-Go is based on the same CMF-A platform which underpins the Renault Kwid. It is also expected to share the same 800cc petrol engine as well. Manual and AMT gearboxes are expected to fitted on to the new car as well.
The Datsun Redi-Go will be competing with the Maruti-Suzuki Alto 800, Hyundai Eon and its Renault cousin, the Kwid, when it launches in India. The price of the production ready Redi-Go is expected to be south of the three lakh price bracket.
