Daimler India Investing On Its Employees For Improving Their Skills
Daimler India Commercial Vehicles (DCIV) has been offering the vocational training program for their manual workers since 2013. There are more than 75 employees who have successfully completed the Vocational Training Program. Currently, 96 employees are attending in various streams of vocational training.
The company is focusing on training and skills development of the employee's overall functions which reflects its strategic approach and also contribute to its enhancement as an employee.
DICV offers a wide range of training and development opportunities to ensure continuous personal and professional growth for the employees. The offerings include industrial, technical as well language, behavioural, management and self-development programs.
The integrated training centre is on the site of DICV's manufacturing plant in Oragadam near Chennai and offers complete development and training programs for the employees. In less than four years of operation, the unit has completed more than 75,000 man-days of training for the employees. In 2015, DICV was recognised as the "Best Vocational Training Provider" by the Associated Chambers of Commerce & Industry of India (ASSOCHAM).
The course duration is one year, during which participants will receive skill training as per AICTE curriculum. PSG Polytechnic College will provide the academic knowledge. DICV will be the Skill Knowledge Provider.
