Top Gear Host Confirms His Departure From The Show
Top Gear presenter and host, Chris Evans took to Twitter recently to make an important announcement. Chris Evans has confirmed that he will not be part of the upcoming Top Gear series. Officials have also cancelled the Top Gear Christmas Special edition for 2016.
Chris Evans faced criticism that he was not fit for the show. Several fans and Top Gear enthusiasts claimed that his voice was screechy. It was previously reported that Top Gear co-host Matt LeBlanc had threatened to leave the show if Chris Evans would continue.
Viewership has been on a constant decline ever since Jeremy Clarkson, James May, and Richard Hammond called it quits. The relaunch of Top Gear was expected to be bigger and better. Unfortunately, the majority of the audience were skeptical with the inclusion of Chris Evans.
So far, there is no announcement who will be replacing Chris Evans as the main host. Matt LeBlanc is popular with the fans and there is a possibility who could take charge. Top Gear is also rumoured to acquire David Coulthard or Jenson Button as the main host of the show.
