Car Thieves Takes Off With 2 Vehicles In Minutes
A gang of vehicle thieves stole two cars within a few minutes from a colony in Agra, leaving the residents shocked.
The CCTV footage reveals the men, who were armed, arriving in a sedan and later driving away with a Wagon R and Maruti Suzuki Eco van parked outside the victim's house.
The theft happened while the Agra police were planning to leave cops inside empty houses to catch the thieves in the act.
The owner of the stolen vehicles, Kishore Ansari, also owns a fleet of school vans that provides services several schools. Ansari told the media: "In the morning, we found two of my cars missing from the parking area. The recovered CCTV footage showed the gang members driving away with the cars."
The spot where this happened is just five minutes away from a police outpost.
"The footage showed a police jeep patrolling in our locality by around 2 am. At 2:51 am, the thieves arrived and drove away with the cars," said Ansari.
Shatrunjay Singh, station officer of Chhatta, said: "Stolen vehicles are not easy to find. They are often dismantled within hours and sold as scrap metal in Meerut, or one can find them with different registrations in the Mainpuri district."
