British Woman Tries 110 Times To Pass Driving Test, Still Fails
A 28 year old woman from Southwark, south-east London has failed her driving test. You may think what's the big deal about it? Well, in total, including this last time, she has failed a total of 110 times!
This unnamed Londoner, has spent as much as £3,410 to show that she knows the rules and regulations of the road. Determined, which she is, she also has to clear her practical test once she finishes theory.
The written test, which costs £31 per attempt, consists of multiple choice answers and a hazard perception exam. Working out the maths, this lady would have first attempted the exam when she was 17, the legal driving age limit, she would have written the exam 10 times a year for the past 11 years!
In the UK, 65.4% is the pass rate for the driving test exams. Although no learner is even close to this woman's record, there are a few who are trying hard. In her foot steps is a 45 year old lady from Bristol, who attempted the exam 57 times.

Men are not far behind too. A 30 year old from Peterborough has failed the theory exam 86 times, a man from Birmingham cleared his exam on the 86th attempt. A 26 year old from Wales failed 64 times and another 46 year old man from Reads failed 61 attempts without any luck.
Figures also revealed that if learners passed their theory, they failed during their practicals. A middle aged man who failed the practical exam 36 times, managed to clear it on his 37th attempt.
The practical driving test costs £62 on a weekday and £75 in the evening, holiday or weekend. The test lasts 40 minutes.
