Beating A Traffic Jam With A 4X4
Traffic jams these days is a big worry. It makes a short commute very long and stressful. Research has shown that on an average, people living in Moscow spend an average of eight working days in traffic. That is losing a vacation!
The stress gets a few wondering "why can't i just drive over them"? Well, while a few people keep wondering, there is one person doing it. Here below is a video of a man and his extensively-modified Jeep Wrangler. He casually positions his off roader, engages 4X4 and just drives over the vehicles.
Although this video is taken in closed grounds under supervision, it just shows how capable these vehicles are. Although this should never be tried on public roads, this video shows just how effective on time it would be if one can do it on a regular basis!
Video: Pushing The LaFerrari XX Suspension To Breaking Point
As seen in the footage, the Jeep has been jacked up or purpose built to tackle obstacles while driving off road. The suspension has a longer travel than the factory Jeep to clear objects like rocks. The tyres are bigger and purpose-built to grip on to boulders and slippery surfaces.
The damage caused by the jeep to the cars is quite bad. We just hope these cars were write offs. It may look like the ultimate idea to tackle traffic, but obviously not advisable, no matter what the situation.
