Bangalore Rides To Support Valentino Rossi
MotoGP enthusiasts, more importantly Valentino Rossi fans from Bangalore, gathered together to support ‘The Doctor' by organising a motorcycle ride to Kolar on Sunday (1, Nov.).
The group saw a collection of 25 superbikes, which included Yamahas, Triumphs, Kawasakis, and BMWs, that rode together to protest against the penalty given to Rossi, after the Malaysian Grand Prix.
The Malaysian round of the 2015 MotoGP Championship was an intense battle between Valentino Rossi, the current race leader, and Marc Marquez, who stands third in the Championship standing.
The Italian was penalised for kicking Marquez (which Rossi fans claim did not happen), which made him lose control of the motorcycle and crash.
Penalty points awarded to Rossi after the incident was not appreciated by fans worldwide, which include the Doctor's supporters from Bangalore, a city in South India that is very well known for motorsports.
Bangalore hosts multiple motorsport events like the Indian National Rally Championship (INRC), K1000, and the famous Hill Climb. The Rossi fan club was furious about the decision made by MotoGP authorities and showed its support to cancel the negative points.
