Bajaj Dominar And Hyosung GT 650 Collide Head-On — Not A Happy Ending
A Bajaj Dominar 400 Hyosung GT 650 crash in Delhi reminds us of the dangers of owning powerful motorcycles.
With many powerful motorcycles making it to India, two-wheeler related accidents have gone up. A recent one involves a Bajaj Dominar 400 and a Hyosung GT 650, which has resulted in the death of one rider.
According to reports, the rider of the Bajaj Dominar 400 was riding at a speed of 50km/h when a Hyosung GT 650, travelling at over 100km/h collided head-on. The Dominar 400 rider lost his life in the crash.
The incident took place in Delhi. Sources also say that the road was hardly 10-feet wide and the rider of the Hyosung GT 650 was clearly riding beyond his limits.
This is high time parents, motorcycle manufacturers, authorities, and protective gear manufacturers take note. Parents who end up bribing their kids for top ranks in schools/ studies should understand the dangers involved, along with those parents who think buying kids motorcycles id okay.
Authorities should take note and come up with a way to screen riders and their skills when it comes to powerful motorcycles and issuing two-wheeler licences. Protective gear manufacturers, however, should aim at manufacturing quality products without any form of compromise.
Also, some Helmet companies, LS2 for example, sell helmets at a premium but fail to have a selection of sizes. A wrong size helmet is as dangerous as riding without one.
