3,000 Horsepower Mustang Takes To The Air
Drag racing is not something for the faint hearted. It requires nerves of steel and loads of practice. Precision and split second reactions will help. All these put together in a Mustang which produces 3,000 horsepower, one must be ready for anything.
Dennis Bailey, a professional Drag Racer was well prepared in 2010 when he lined up for a drag race in South Georgia Motorsports Park in Adel, Georgia. What happened next to his twin turbo 3,000 horsepower Mustang was just spectacular.
As soon as he started off from the line, the front of his car lifts. Just when it looks like it's settling down, the car catches air again, much more than before, flips and crashes into a concrete barrier. It leaves a big cloud of dust and disappears behind the wall.

The car was mangled after this spectacular crash. Thanks to the anti-roll cage in the car, Dennis walked away from this crash unharmed.
While the car is carried away on a truck, you could see towards the end of the video, the car looks pretty bad but the roll cage is intact. The roll cage is a must for any motorsport.
This video is a good example to say that motor sports can be very dangerous and it should be supervised. Even for a professional driver. Unsupervised, it could lead to serious injury or even loss of life.
