1995 Ferrari F50 To Be Auctioned This Month
A very special car is to be auctioned this month at RM Sotheby's and it is a 1995 model Ferrari F50. This car is part of the ‘The Pinnacle Portfolio'.
This Ferrari is one of the 55 US spec F50s manufactured and the 59th example of a total of 349 F50s produced worldwide. It bears the chassis number 104063.
This particular car rolled out of the Ferrari factory on the 19th of December 1995, wearing Rosso Corsa paint and into the hands of Greg Whitten. He also owns a very rare Ferrari 250 GTO.
A decade later, it was sold to a car collector in Illinois, until the current owner picked up the car in 2011.
The car has 5800 miles on the clock and has also received a full service, along with a new fuel tank balder which cost a total of USD 30,000 in February 2013.
Powering this car is a Formula One derived 4.7-litre, naturally aspirated V12 engine that delivers 520 horsepower. The V12 can rev up to 10,000 rpm! The car also features a six-speed manual transmission, rear wheel drive and a limited-slip differential.
So, coming to the asking price. This particular car is expected to fetch between USD 1.6 to 2 million...
