Fiat Launches New Punto and Linea In Hyderabad

Fiat India which unveiled the versions of the Punto and the Linea in Delhi just a day before the 2012 Delhi Auto Expo has brought its new cars to the city of Hyderabad. The 2012 Fiat Punto and the 2012 Fiat Linea were commercially launched and are now open for booking.

Speaking about Fiat's refreshed cars, both of them come with increased ground clearance and improved performance in terms of fuel economy. The Punto and Linea are available with petrol and diesel engines. Some of the interesting features in these Fiat cars are split foldable seats, bright ivory-grey interiors and power windows.

The Linea is priced at Rs.6.92 lakhs for the entry level petrol variant and the top end diesel variant is priced at Rs.9.32 lakhs. The Punto is priced between Rs4.89 lakhs and Rs.6.92 lakhs.

People who already own a Punto or Linea can also increase their cars' ground clearance. Fiat is offering customers a kit that will raise the ground clearance. You need to shell out Rs.13,000 to increase the Punto's clearance to 165 mm and Linea's ground clearance to 180mm.

Fiat which has a 50:50 joint venture with Tata Motors in India is keen to expand its model line-up but that will happen only in 2013. Tata Motors is handling Fiat's sales in India and it is confident it can far exceed the sales it had achieved in 2011. The Italian carmaker is hoping to sell more than 20,000 cars this year.
