Bajaj Auto Reports Highest Ever June Sales

Bajaj Auto, India's second largest two wheeler manufacturer has posted a 16 per cent increase in sales during the month of June. Bajaj sold 366,657 vehicles this June gaining 2.2 per cent from the previous month's sales of 358,849. The company said this was its best performance in June. The company had sol 315,422 units in June 2010.

Bajaj auto also reported that its exports had increased by an impressive 25 per cent in June to 142,124 units. Sales of motorcycles rose 14 per cent to 322,827 units while commercial vehicle sales rose a whopping 34 per cent to 43,830.

The Pune based Bajaj Auto is aiming to concentrate on the international markets. Its recent focus on exports has clearly generated results. Bajaj Auto's exports are on an upswing consistently. The two wheeler manufacturer is also on an aggressive marketing blitz in which it is targeting Japanese sports bike manufacturers. It claims the Bajaj Pulsar sells five times the number of Japanese sports bikes sold in India.
