Hyundai Tucson Exterior And Interior Design

The 2019 Hyundai Tucson is one of the range-topping SUVs on offer from the Korean brand in the Indian market. The Tucson SUV carries forward Hyundai`s latest fluidic design language and comes packed with all the features and equipment.

In terms of design, the Hyundai Tucson comes with the brand`s signature cascading grille up front. On either side of the hexagonal grille are the first-in-class dual-barrel LED headlamps. The Tucson also comes with a sporty grille, with a horizontal bar. This houses the LED DRLs on either ends, while also featuring fog lamps above them as well.

The side profile of the Hyundai Tucson continues with the sporty theme of the car with sharp creases and lines, 18-inch diamond cut alloy wheels and contrasting black roof rails. The rear profile also offers sporty yet clean look with sleek looking LED tail lights, silver scuff plate on the rear bumper and dual-exhaust pipes.

Moving inside, the Hyundai Tucson comes with a well laid out dashboard. The Tucson gets a dual-tone cabin, well integrated infotainment screen along with silver accents on the centre console. The seats are wrapped in premium leather, offering good comfort along with a host of features features as well.

Hyundai Tucson Engine And Performance

Hyundai Tucson Engine And Performance

The Hyundai Tucson is offered with two engine options: one petrol and one diesel. This includes a Nu 2.0-litre four-cylinder VVT petrol producing 155bhp and 192Nm of torque. The diesel unit, on the other hand, comprises of a R2.0-litre four-cylinder engine churning out 185bhp and 400Nm of torque. Both engine come mated to six-speed manual or automatic gearbox choices.

Both engines offer a smooth and comfortable drive. The engines themselves are extremely refined and offer excellent amount of power at any point. The diesel has the little advantage thanks to the massive 400Nm of torque, which pulls the car forward quickly.

The ride itself is comfortable, with the suspension being set a bit on the softer side. Hyundai has really excelled with the NVH levels on the Tucson. There is little to no noise in the cabin under the 2.400rpm mark. Post that you can hear a bit of engine noise, which is not a bad thing.

The brakes and suspension work like a charm, stopping the heavy SUV quickly and easily while the suspension absorbs most of the road undulations without a sweat. However, there is a bit of noticeable body roll on the SUV, which can make the driver hesitant to push the car in the corners. The Hyundai Tucson further comes with different driving modes, such as Normal, Eco and Sport to further assist in drivability of the SUV under various conditions.
