Tata Zest Waiting Period Increases To Six Months
Tata Motors had showcased its next generation of products at 2014 Auto Expo, which was was held in Delhi. On display were their ‘Horizonext' products, these included a compact sedan and a hatchback.
The Indian automobile giant has already launched their compact sedan ‘Zest' in India. Tata Motors has confirmed their ‘Bolt' hatchback will be launched in the following year. Both these products display the manufacturers new design philosophy and future of upcoming vehicles.
Tata Zest has been well accepted by Indian customers and there is huge demand for it. The manufacturer, however, cannot keep up with demand. There is now a waiting period of almost six months for the Zest compact sedan.
Post the launch of the Zest, the manufacturer claims to have sold over 10,000 vehicles. They have several orders pending and new customers will have to wait for approximately six months before they can drive away in their compact sedan.
The Indian manufacturer offers both petrol and diesel engine options. Tata motors provides manual as well as an AMT option. The AMT option will be provided only with their diesel mill. They have nine trims on offer, which include both petrol and diesel options.
The Zest compact sedan is priced between INR 4,65,000 to INR 7,00,000 ex-shwroom, Delhi. Tata Motors offers six colour options for customers to choose from. Zest competes head on with Hyundai Xcent and Honda Amaze, all these products are doing excellent in India.
