Tata Motors To Launch Six New SUVs To Overcome Competitors
Tata Motors was one of the pioneers in introducing Utility Vehicles for the masses. They have, however, lost their market share and have been struggling selling their products in India.
The Indian manufacturer has now confirmed that they will introduce six new SUVs in a strategic manner. There will be considerable input from Land Rover in Tata new products for an upmarket feel.
Tata Motors will introduce nine new vehicles, out of which six will be completely new and three will be refresh models. These products will be placed in different segments of crossover, compact SUV and full-fledged SUV.
India is sure to get new Safari Storme, Safari and Sumo models. There is also a possibility that Aria might get a facelift to make it more appealing.
At recent motor shows Tata has showcased its Nexon concept, alongside several other futuristic models. The Hexa concept and several others will go into production, in an attempt to improve Tata Motors sales.
Tata officials have not provided details as to launches of their new models. We expect them to introduce their products beginning from mid-2015 and will go on. It will be interesting to see how many of these vehicles could be caught testing prior to their launch.
