Rolls-Royce Target India In The Asia Pacific Region For Sales
Rolls-Royce, the UK based luxury carmaker launched the Rolls-Royce Ghost Series II today in the capital city of Tamil Nadu, Chennai.
The car has been launched at a price of INR 4.5 crore. Sven J. Ritter, the General Manager for Asia Pacific, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars was also present during the launch today.
According to Ritter, India is one Rolls-Royce's key markets in the Asia Pacific region. There are a number of people who are able to afford super expensive cars such as the Rolls-Royce Ghost Series II.
During the launch, Ritter said, "India is one the top five markets for our Ghost model cars in Asia Pacific."
"Ghost Series II car is mainly a driver driven vehicle rather than a chauffeur driven one. So, we expect demand from customers like film stars, business leaders and emerging new age young entrepreneurs."
Ritter also said that Rolls-Royce sold 4,063 cars worldwide last year, although he was not specific about the number of cars that were sold in India alone.
Another main thing Ritter wanted to point out is that although Australia is a bigger country than India, has just four outlets whereas India has six.
