Nissan India inaugurated its very first dealership in Shillong, Meghalaya. In total, Nissan now has 219 outlets pan India across 166 cities. The Japanese-based automobile manufacturer boasts of fourteen outlets in the North-Eastern region.
The Shillong Nissan outlet will be known as 'Orange Nissan'. On display will be five vehicles across the 3,240 sq.ft. area. Orange Nissan is located at Lumsohphoh in Shillong, while the service centre is situated at Jowai road in Shillong.
By March 2017, Nissan India plans to have 300 fully functional sales and service outlets across India. Present at the inauguration of Orange Nissan in Shillong was Arun Malhotra, Managing Director, Nissan Motors India.
On display at Orange Nissan will be vehicles from Nissan as well as Datsun. The new outlet will be gearing up with Datsun's all-new Redi-Go model. Datsun's compact model is expected to receive an overwhelming response in the North-Eastern region.
