Nissan e-NV200 gets its drivetrain from the award winning and world's best electric car, the LEAF. Hence, performance is expected to be on par with the LEAF, though the increased cabin space will be an advantage.
Powering the Nissan e-NV200 will be a 24 kWh battery pack that will feed energy to a synchronous motor that will deliver around 107 bhp power and 280 Nm of torque.
Range offered by the e-NV200 should remain around the same as the LEAF as well, which is about 130 km.
Fast charging should juice up the battery to 80 percent its full capacity in under 30 minutes.
Though a passenger carrying variant of the e-NV200 will be made Nissan will primarily target businesses. And in this regard the e-NV200 is so well designed that the additional battery packs and motor does not eat into cargo space in the load bay, with its maximum payload rating remaining unchanged.
