Skoda Superb Based On Vision C Concept Rumored To Come In 2016

Skoda recently released the Superb facelift which gets the automaker's new face. However, an all new Superb is due for launch in 2016 if recent rumors are to be believed and will be based on the Vision C Concept that was on display at the Geneva Motor Show 2014.

Skoda Vision C Concept is a ‘four door coupe' that's based on the Octavia (MQB) platform. The design highlights of the Vision C include clean and sharp character lines, sloping, sharp edged rear flank, triangular shaped headlamps and angular taillamps.

According to Autocar, Skoda Vision C Concept previews the styling of the all new Superb despite making use of a different platform. The all new Superb will be built the company's next gen B8 platform. The current Superb adopts the B6 architecture, which means the new car will skip a generation, the B7.

While the Superb is all about providing plenty of cabin space and a luxurious interior with use of high quality material, the all new Superb will continue doing so, though it will further improve upon it.

The 2016 Skoda Superb is expected to continue being powered by the same 2.0 liter diesel engine, thought tuned to offer more power. The six speed manual and DSG automatic transmission are also likely to carried over unchanged.
