Mercedes-Benz has promised that they would launch 15 new products and refreshes in India for 2015. The German automobile giant has also declared 2015 as the year of ‘Live The Best'. They will be launching their first new product of 2015 tomorrow on 22nd of January, 2015.
The ‘Three-Pointed Star' will be launching their CLA-Class, compact sedan in India. They had previously launched the power packed CLA45 AMG in India. Mercedes-Benz witnessed an overwhelming response for the vehicle and all available models were sold out.
Mercedes will power their CLA-Class with a single petrol and diesel mill:
- A 2.0-litre turbocharged, four-cylinder petrol engine will produce 181 bhp, along with 300 Nm of peak torque output.
- The diesel powered 2.2-litre, four-cylinder mill will be turbocharged. This engine will generate 135 bhp, along with 300 Nm of peak torque.
Both engines will be paired to a 7-speed dual clutch gearbox.
The design of Mercedes-Benz CLA has been derived from their premium hatchback the A-Class. This new compact sedan will sport similar design to their CLA45 AMG model. The designers have focussed on making their CLA look sporty, muscular and aerodynamic.
Within the cabin of CLA-Class, it will be premium and luxurious as always. It will feature an all new sporty dashboard, along with a bigger infotainment system. The German manufacturer will provide driver and co-passenger with memory function seats. Optional bits will be ambient lighting within the cabin and several others.
The CLA-Class compact sedan will be launching in India on 22nd January, 2015. This will be their first offering from their MFA range of products that will be assembled at the Chakan plant in Pune. We expect Mercedes-Benz to price it competitively and expect a price tag of INR 28,00,000 to INR 32,00,000 ex-showroom for the base model.
