Mahindra XUV500 Gets New Colours

Mahindra XUV500 has always offered good value for money, providing plenty of features and equipments at a reasonable price. And then to make the premium SUV even more easier to own Mahindra brought out a new base variant with a starting price of a little over 11 lakhs on road.

Mahindra continues to make changes and additions to the XUV500 to make it appeal to buyers, the latest being the addition of new colour options.

The XUV500 is now available in four new colours depending on the variant. The base XUV500 W4 variant will now be offered in Dolphin Grey along with black and white colours.

The mid-variant XUV500 W6 will now be available in Satin White and Dolphin Grey. Lastly, the top of the line XUV500 W8 will come with Artic Blue and Opulent Purple colour option.

The XUV500 is powered by Mahindra's 2.2 liter 16V mHawk diesel engine that generates 140 HP that's mated to a six speed manual transmission.

There have also been rumors that Mahindra will introduce a 6 speed automatic gearbox in the XUV500 that will be shared with a SsangYong SUV. The automatic variant of the XUV500 is expected to arrive late in 2015 and would definitely help in making Mahindra's flagship SUV more popular.

Mahindra XUV500 W8 AWD is the highest variant level offered, with a price tag of INR 14.55 lakhs (ex-showroom, Mumbai).
