James Bond is probably the one character that many of us visualize when we say the word spy. And if we think about James Bond's cars, it is Aston Martin. Both James Bond and Aston Martin have become synonymous with each other over the fifty years since the fist Bond film hit the screens.
James Bond, the fictional spy created by Ian Fleming is said to have owned a Bentley car in the book. The makers of the movie decided to have an Aston Martin in the Bond Film Goldfinger. incidentally the same Aston Martin DB 5 used in Goldfinger has been used in the latest James Bond film Sky Fall. Aston Martin fans will definitely cringe at the sight of the classic Aston being shot with hundreds of bullets and eventually being blasted to smithereens. Thankfully, the original car was not used in the scene where the Aston Martin is destroyed.

Gold Finger – Aston Martin DB5
Aston Martin made its screen debut as James Bond's car in the film Gold Finger. The car was fitted by several interesting gadgets. In fact, the Goldfinger DB5 with gadgets was sold on October 27, 2010 for $4.6m (£2.9m) to the car collector Harry Yeaggy. It features the pop out gun barrels behind the front indicators, the bullet shield behind the rear window and a 3-way revolving front number plate showing "GOLD FINGER" or "JB007" or "BMT216A".
On Her Majesty's Secret Service – Aston Martin DBS
The Aston Martin DBS has a very short stint as James Bond's car in the film. It is seen in only four scenes and there are no special gadgets fitted in it.
The Living Daylights - Aston Martin V8 Vantage Volante
James Bond's car is now a convertible Aston Martin in the form of the V8 Vantage Volante. The car is equipped with several interesting features such as spike-producing tires, missiles, lasers (an update of the DB5's tyre-slashers), signal-intercepting smart radio, head-up display and rocket propulsion.
Golden Eye – Aston Martin DB5
Aston Martin made a come back as James Bond's car in the Golden Eye. The car was used by Pierce Brosnan in the opening scene where he races it against a Ferrari.

Casino Royale - Aston Martin DB5, DBS V12
Daniel Craig's first appearance as James Bond has two Aston Martins. James Bond wins the DB5 while gambling in the Bahamas. The V12 DBS is also a regular car without any flashy gadgets.
Quantum of Solace - Aston Martin DBS V12
James Bond drives the Aston Martin DBS V12 in the first few minutes of the film. The car barely manages to survive following an explosive chase sequence in Italy.

The Aston Martin used by James Bong in Goldfinger makes a comeback in the latest Skyfall. The car features all the gadgets that was seen in the first film. Aston Martin fans will definitely cringe while watching the climax as the car is destroyed totally by bullets and bomb explosions.
