James Bond is probably the one character that many of us visualize when we say the word spy. And if we think about James Bond's cars, it is Aston Martin. Both James Bond and Aston Martin have become synonymous with each other over the fifty years since the fist Bond film hit the screens.
James Bond, the fictional spy created by Ian Fleming is said to have owned a Bentley car in the book. The makers of the movie decided to have an Aston Martin in the Bond Film Goldfinger. incidentally the same Aston Martin DB 5 used in Goldfinger has been used in the latest James Bond film Sky Fall. Aston Martin fans will definitely cringe at the sight of the classic Aston being shot with hundreds of bullets and eventually being blasted to smithereens. Thankfully, the original car was not used in the scene where the Aston Martin is destroyed.

Gold Finger – Aston Martin DB5
Aston Martin made its screen debut as James Bond's car in the film Gold Finger. The car was fitted by several interesting gadgets. In fact, the Goldfinger DB5 with gadgets was sold on October 27, 2010 for $4.6m (£2.9m) to the car collector Harry Yeaggy. It features the pop out gun barrels behind the front indicators, the bullet shield behind the rear window and a 3-way revolving front number plate showing "GOLD FINGER" or "JB007" or "BMT216A".
