Hyundai Grand i10 Revealed; Launch On September 3rd
The new Hyundai hatchback which we have all been expecting for months has finally been revealed. Hyundai has made public the first images of the car codenamed named BA. It is called Hyundai Grand i10.
Everyone knew it was going to be placed in between i10 and i20, but did not expect the same i10 name. But the Grand suffix suits the new model because in general it is a glorified i10. With better space, better materials, sportier styling etc,. Hyundai i10 grand will be launched on September 3rd.

Starting with the exterior. New is the hexagonal front grille, the fog lamp housing, which features daytime running lights(European version only). The wheels are 14 inch diamond cut alloys. There is a thick side guard, which Hyundai has put in place to add to the sportiness. (Contined in next slide)
(Cont...) Same goes for the attractively styled window/roof line (European version looks sportier, with a narrower rear window). Headlight design is new at both end as well, with the rear sporting the wrap around look. Also, don't miss the roof rails.
Hyundai Grand i10 is built on a new platform. This gives it a dimension 100 mm longer and wider than the i10. The Grand i10 also has a 70 mm longer wheelbase.
Grand i10 will be offered in both petrol and diesel engine options. The petrol will be the same 1.2 liter Kappa unit from the i10. The diesel engine is a brand new 1.1 liter unit, details of which are yet to be revealed. Grand i10 diesel will be the cheapest diesel Hyundai on offer in India.
The new car is feature packed. The music system comes with 1GB of internal storage. The rear gets its own AC vents and air-conditioned glove box. It also sports a start/stop button and comes with a smart key.
The interior is a lot more premium compared to the i10. There is better quality plastic, two toned beige interiors and more rear legroom. The dashboard and instrument cluster are also expected to be different styled. But there are no images revealing them just yet.
Safety features included are rear parking sensor, airbags and ABS. It is not clear how many variants of the Grand i10 Hyundai has planned to bring since this is likely to affect the safety features on offer.
