Honda Amaze Drives Into Guinness World Records
Japanese automobile giant Honda has taken India by storm with its new products. Vehicles like City, Brio, Amaze and Mobilio have an instant hit with customers. The manufacturer had recently begun its ‘Honda Amaze Longest Drive Through Amazing India'.
Now it has been confirmed that Honda Cars India have secured a Guinness World Record. They have won a record for the longest journey by a car in a single country. Honda's family sedan Amaze has travelled across 400 towns accomplishing 23,800 kilometres across India.
Hironori Kanayama, President and CEO of Honda Cars India Ltd, expressed, "We are happy to announce that Honda Cars India has added yet another milestone to its journey by entering The Guinness World RecordsTM for the Longest journey by car in a single country."
He also said, "The drive through various terrains is testimony to the durability, quality and reliability of Honda Amaze. These qualities have found their way into the Indian market and the car has garnered excellent response from the customers."
The journey began on 15th September, 2014 from Jodhpur. Honda's Amaze drove through mountainous terrain, coastlines, highways, congested cities and interiors of India as well. Their journey lasted 55 days and during this time they travelled to every nook and corner of India.
A web series of Honda's campaign will be hosted by Indian author Chetan Bhagat. The webisodes will showcase Honda Amaze travelling across India during their 'Longest Drive through Amazing India'.
There is also a contest for viewers, in which individuals can post their photos and stories of unexplored spots in India. The selected winners will get an opportunity to travel and explore memorable places in India.
