Honda Amaze Anniversary Edition: Price & Features Announced
It's been a year since Honda Cars India launched the Amaze compact sedan in India. The Amaze was launched at a time when Honda had reached a new low following the discontinuation of the old City petrol sedan and the Jazz hatchback after poor sales.
The Amaze changed the car maker's fortune virtually overnight, taking advantage of the newly formed sub-4 meter sedan segment. The Brio based sedan went on to receive 20,000 bookings in less than two months of its launch. In the last 12 months 80,000 Amaze sedans have been sold, most of which are the 1.5-litre i-VTEC diesel variants.
At the end of the last fiscal year in March, Honda Amaze was the 6th most popular in India.

To celebrate the success of the Amaze on its 1st anniversary, Honda has announced a special edition model. Simply called the Amaze Anniversary Edition, this version comes with several "distinctive sporty features."
The said sporty changes made to the car comes through the addition of a complete exterior body kit that consists of front under-spoiler, side under-spoiler, rear under-spoiler, trunk-spoiler along with door visors and exhaust pipe finisher.
The changes made continue to the interior of the car through inclusion of premium upholstery and contrasting wooden finish panel on the dashboard.
The special edition Honda Amaze comes wearing an ‘Anniversary edition' badge and is available with ‘VX' and ‘S' trim levels in both petrol and diesel variants.
Honda is offering the special edition model of the Amaze with the body kit and premium interior at a discounted price of Rs 71,861 over the cost of the regular models.
Announcing the ‘Anniversary edition', Mr. Jnaneswar Sen, Senior Vice President, Marketing & Sales, Honda Cars India Ltd said, "Honda Amaze has been a game changer in its segment and has enabled HCIL to reach out to so many new customers, bringing them into the Honda fold. We are delighted to introduce the new ‘Anniversary edition' amongst customers to celebrate its success. It is Honda's constant endeavor to provide freshness to our products and create excitement in the market. We are confident that the differentiated and youthful look of the car will have greater appeal to our customers."
