The first thing that catches the eye is the Aston Martin like front grille, with plenty of chrome instead of the earlier black plastic. This makes the car look more premium and mature.
Also new are the front and rear bumpers, fog lamp housing and headlamps.
Speaking about the headlights, the new units are one of best features about the new Fiesta. The swept back shape of the headlamps and its well sculpted contours is very appealing.
Towards the rear are the redesigned tail lamps. The rear bumper with integrated diffuser adds a nice sporty touch.

The new Fiesta's body is made from boron steel alloy, which Ford says, is four times stronger than regular steel.
Also, notice the new alloy wheel design, which is likely to be offered only with the top variants.

Push-button Start/Stop, rain sensing wipers and auto headlights are some of the features that will be provided in high end variants. Also notable is the dual tone interior that instead of the grey panels found in the existing car.
The 2014 Ford Fiesta will be powered by the same 90 PS, 1.5-litre, TDCi diesel engine found in the current Fiesta. 5-speed manual transmission is standard. We'll have to wait till the launch for additional powertrain information.
