Volvo V90 Cross Country launched in India. The new Volvo V90 Cross Country is priced at Rs 60 lakh ex-showroom (India). The V90 Cross Country is India's first luxury crossover station wagon.

The V90 Cross Country is mainly based on the S90 sedan which is currently on sale in India.

The Volvo V90 Cross Country in India receives a 2.0-litre diesel unit in the D5 spec that makes 235bhp and peaks at 430Nm of torque. The motor comes mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox. The V90 Cross Country also receives all-wheel drive (AWD) and the air ride suspension as standard.

Volvo V90 Cross Country Design And Features

Up front, the Volvo V90 Cross Country is similar to the S90 sedan. The front grille receives small metallic inserts and the 'Thor hammer' LED headlamp setup with DRLs as well as the bold curves on the hood dominate the front profile.

Along the side, the V90 Cross Country reveals itself as a station wagon, but the 20-inch wheels and plastic-clad wheel arches along with the raised ground clearance of 210mm offer glimpses of an SUV.

At the rear, the wagon back offers tonnes of storage space at the trunk (590-litres) which is more practical compared to the bulkiness of an SUV. There is also the ever-present skid plates at both ends, redesigned bumpers, along with aluminium brushed roof rails in-line to regular SUVs.

Inside the cabin, you are immediately treated to the large 12.3-inch touchscreen display dominating the dashboard and high-quality materials and wood inserts used aplenty. The V90 Cross Country receives ventilated seats and massage options in the front seats as well.

Features on the V90 Cross Country include Parking assist, lane assist, Blind Spot Information System, City Safety, hill-start assist, hill descent control and 7 airbags.

The car also receives a semi-autonomous driving feature - adaptive cruise control. Adaptive cruise control uses forward-looking radar to identify the speed and distance of the vehicle in front of it and drives the car accordingly.
