Volvo S60 Polestar To Be Launched In India Tomorrow
Volvo is all set to launch its performance brand Polestar in India. The S60 Polestar will be launched in the country tomorrow.
Swedish auto major Volvo is set to launch its performance brand Polestar in India tomorrow. The S60 Polestar will be the first performance car from Volvo in India.
The S60 Polestar is based on the T6 variant of the standard S60 sedan. But the car is tweaked to deliver better performance than the standard version of the sedan. The car can sprint from 0-100km/h in just 4.7 seconds.
The S60 Polestar draws power from a 2-litre four cylinder petrol engine churning out 367bhp and 470Nm of torque. The engine is coupled to an 8-speed automatic gearbox sending power to all the four wheels.
To handle the 367bhp of power, the S60 Polestar gets bigger brakes, stiffer suspension, aggressive body kit and 20-inch Polestar alloy wheels.
Apart from the regular safety features such as the airbags and ABS, the S60 Polestar is equipped with a unique safety feature. The sensors on the exterior of the car read the surrounding to brake automatically if any obstruction is detected.
When launched in India, the Volvo S60 Polestar is expected to carry a price tag of around Rs 60 lakh to Rs 65 lakh. The performance sedan will take on its segment rivals such as Mercedes-AMG C 43 and the Audi S5.
