The Volkswagen Vento Highline Plus has been spied at a dealership ahead of its launch. The newest trim of the Vento will be the top-spec variant of the Volkswagen sedan in India and will be available in both petrol and diesel guises.
The new Volkswagen will feature three different engines under the bonnet, two petrols and one diesel.
The two petrol powerplants displace 1.6-litre and 1.2-litres respectively. The 1.6-litre will be available with a manual gearbox while the 1.2-litre TSI unit will be available exclusively with the DSG automatic gearbox.
The 1.5-litre diesel engine will be available with both manual and DSG gearboxes.
The main feature of the new VW Vento Highline Plus revealed by the spy images are the full LED headlamps with DRLs similar to the ones found on the Volkswagen GTI hot hatch. However, the new headlamps do not have the manual levelling feature.
The Vento Highline Plus unit spotted sits on Volkswagen's 15-inch Zirkonia wheels instead of the rumoured 16-inch units that were expected to ship with the new variant. The new variant also comes with a parking camera as standard.
The Vento Highline Plus will be the new premier Vento variant in India. However, it is not Volkswagen's craziest small car in India.
That title belongs to VW GTI, a 189bhp hatchback, that is currently the king of the hot hatchbacks in India. Click on the photo gallery below to view the latest images from DriveSpark's review of the Volkswagen GTI.
