Volkswagen Tiguan To Be Launched In Two Variants — Here’s More
The Volkswagen Tiguan will be launched in two variants in India and here’s a quick look at what to expect.
The Volkswagen Tiguan launch is around the corner, and the German carmaker will launch the Tiguan SUV in two variants — Comfortline and Highline. The production of the SUV has begun at the carmaker's plant in Aurangabad.
The Volkswagen Tiguan marks the German carmaker's return in the SUV segment. The Tiguan was showcased during the 2016 Auto Expo, and the carmaker has made no design changes compared to the vehicle showcased.
The Tiguan will be offered in India with a standard 2.0-litre diesel engine that will make 143bhp, paired to a 7-speed automatic gearbox and an all-wheel-drive system. The Tiguan will also have a separate command to change the vehicle's off-road capabilities.
Volkswagen will offer LED headlights, 17 and 18-inch wheels (depending on the trim), faux leather upholstery, panoramic sunroof, a host of driver assistance systems, and an infotainment system.
The SUV segment in India is popular, and with the launch of the Tiguan, Volkswagen is looking to capture a decent piece of market share.
