Volkswagen T-Roc Teased In An Official Video
Volkswagen has teased the new T-Roc in a new video. The teased model looks production ready and will make its debut at the 2017 Frankfurt Auto Show.
German automaker Volkswagen is all set to expand its SUV lineup. The latest addition to the list is the T-Roc SUV. The manufacturer has teased the SUV in an official video ahead of its debut.
The Volkswagen T-Roc was first showcased as a concept model at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show. The production version of the SUV is likely to retain the same name as the concept model.
The T-Roc is based on the Volkswagen's flexible MQB platform found in other VW cars such as the Golf and the Atlas SUV. The T-Roc looks similar to the Audi Q2 in terms of exterior design.
But the latest teaser reveals that the T-Roc sports distinctive looks and styling. The concept model was a three-door SUV, whereas the production variant appears to be more practical five-door version.
The Volkswagen T-Roc is likely to draw power from a wide range of petrol and diesel engines. The petrol variant will feature a 1-litre three-cylinder engine and a 1.5-litre four cylinder engine. The diesel version will feature a 1.6-litre and 2-litre oil burners.
Volkswagen will reveal the T-Roc SUV at the 2017 Frankfurt Auto Show. The SUV will hit the roads in 2018. The T-Roc will rival the likes of Jeep Renegade, Renault Captur and Nissan Juke.
