Volkswagen Polo And Ameo Highline Plus expected to be launched in India. As per Autocar India prices for the Volkswagen Polo Highline Plus in India is expected to start from Rs 7.24 lakh.

The Polo and Ameo Highline Plus trims receive new alloy wheels along with new tech and equipment. The Polo and Ameo Highline Plus variant is slotted above the Highline and the below the GT variants.

Volkswagen Polo And Ameo Highline Plus Price List

The VW Polo and Ameo Highline Plus is available in both petrol and diesel models. Both these models are offered in manual gearbox only. The Polo Highline Plus receives 16-inch alloy wheels in place of the 15-inch wheels, reversing camera and an upgraded touchscreen infotainment system.

Autocar India also reported that the Volkswagen Ameo Highline Plus receives both the reversing camera and the upgraded touchscreen infotainment system, but the 16-inch alloy wheels are optional.

Volkswagen Polo And Ameo Highline Plus Specifications & Mileage

The same engines power the Polo Highline Plus as the Highline variant. These include a 1.2-litre three cylinder petrol engine producing 74bhp and 110Nm of torque and a 1.5-litre four cylinder diesel engine developing 89bhp and 230Nm of torque. Both the engines come paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox.

As for the Volkswagen Ameo Highline Plus, the subcompact sedan is powered by a 1.2-litre three cylinder petrol engine producing 74bhp and 110Nm of torque and a 1.5-litre four cylinder diesel unit which churns out 109bhp and 250Nm of torque. Both these engines come mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox.

Volkswagen Polo And Ameo Highline Plus Design & Features

The Polo and Ameo Highline Plus model is similar to the Highline variant except for the alloy wheels although they miss out the LED headlamps which are offered in the Vento Highline Plus model.

In terms of features, the Polo and Ameo Highline Plus as mentioned earlier comes with reversing camera and the upgraded touchscreen infotainment system compared to the Highline variant, which is currently the top variant of the car.

With increased competition from Maruti Baleno, Volkswagen India has upgraded the Polo hatchback in the effort to offer better equipment to potential buyers. The same for the Ameo which is witnessing increased competition from Maruti Dzire.

Both the Polo and the Ameo come with the best of features and safety equipment. While the Maruti Baleno and Dzire might be popular models, the Polo and Ameo are indeed good models if not better.
