2018 Toyota Camry Revealed — Gets Two New Variants
Japanese automaker has revealed the 2018 Camry with two new variants, TRD and Modellista. Both the variants get new body kits to enhance the premium look of the car.
Japanese automaker Toyota has revealed the 2018 Camry for its home market. The company has added two new variants to the Camry lineup - TRD and Modellista.
The newly revealed Camry is different from that of the North American version of the sedan. The Japanese-spec Camry gets different bumpers, headlamp inlays and tail lamp cluster with different lenses.
The two new variants of the Camry are fitted with new body kits. The TRD variant is equipped with aggressively designed front splitter with LED DRLs and bigger five-spoke alloy wheels.
The Camry Modellista's overall design focuses towards enhancing the premium appeal of the sedan. The car gets subtle treatment on the front bumper, and it is shod with multi-spoke alloy wheels.
The Japanese-spec 2018 Camry features two-tone roof finish which gives the sedan a premium touch. The eight-generation of Camry is based on Toyota's New Generation Architecture. The company claims that the 2018 Camry is lighter and more efficient.
The interior of the 2018 Camry features flush-fit touchscreen infotainment system as opposed to the tablet-style screen protruding from the dashboard. The technical details have not been revealed yet, but we can expect Toyota to add Android Autoplay and Apple CarPlay.
The hybrid variant of the new Camry will draw power from a 2.5-litre Dynamic Force four-cylinder engine. The variants running on conventional fuel will be equipped with existing 2.5-litre engines.
