2017 Toyota Prius launched in India. The fourth-generation Toyota Prius Hybrid is priced in India at Rs 38.96 lakh ex-showroom (Delhi) and is only available in the Z8 trim in India.
Powering the all-new Toyota Prius sedan is a 1.8-litre four cylinder petrol engine which is paired with an electric motor which produces 132bhp and is mated to a CVT gearbox. The new Toyota Prius returns a mileage of 26.27km/l.
The all-new Toyota Prius is based on Toyota's TNGA (Toyota New Generation Architecture) platform and also features a brand new design that gives the hybrid sedan a very sharp look thanks to the angular headlamps and tail lamps. Enhancing the sharper new looks of the new Prius is the sharply sloping roof.
Inside, the new 2017 Toyota Prius sedan features leather upholstery, heated front seats, a touchscreen infotainment system, a 10-speaker JBL audio system, heads-up display and dual-zone climate control.
Toyota has packed the new Prius with safety tech including seven airbags, ABS, stability control and traction control to ensure its enviroment concious driver and passengers remain as safe as possible on the road.
The new Toyota Prius will compete with the Honda Accord Hybrid for the wallets and hearts of the eco-conscious drivers in India.
