Toyota’s Luxury Brand Lexus India Launch Details Revealed
Toyota's luxury vehicle wing, Lexus will be launching in the country later this month. Read to know all the details about the India launch.
Japanese car maker Toyota's luxury vehicle division Lexus is going to be officially launched in India on March 24, 2017. The launch date was revealed by sources aware of the development.
It is expected that Lexus RX450h hybrid SUV might be the first product from Lexus to be launched in the country and will be available as a Completely Built Unit (CBU).
Lexus has already imported about 75 to 80 cars to garner interest within the dealer community, and in all possibility test drives to potential customers have also commenced.
Talking about the very first product from the stable of Lexus, the RX450h hybrid SUV draws power from an advanced 3.5-liter V6 petrol engine paired with Lexus Hybrid Drive to deliver 308bhp. The engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission.
The Lexus RX450h hybrid SUV will be equipped with features such as ambient lighting, dual-screen Rear-Seat Entertainment System, 12.3-inch multimedia display, and steering-wheel-mounted controls.
On the safety front, the RX450h gets ten airbags. When launched in the Indian market, the hybrid SUV is likely to be priced at Rs 1.17 crore ex-showroom (Delhi). The RX450H will take on its segment rivals such as Audi Q5 and Mercedes GLC.
